She was looking at the sea.
私の見ていた海が、あなたの記憶の海と結びつき、ひとつになる。
やがて海はかさなり、ひろがって、誰かの海にとどく。
私が見ている海は、あなたの見ている海ときっと違う。
だけど、どこかでつながっている。
そう思うのです。
私は海を撮り続け、さまざまな場所、媒体で公開していきたいと思っています。
The sea I’m looking at merges into one with the sea in your memory.
Soon, those seas lie on top of another and spread out to someone else’s sea.
The sea I’m looking at is perhaps different from the one you are looking at.
However, those are connected somewhere, at some place. I think so.
I keep shooting films of the sea, and by putting them on the screens at different places using various media,
I hope that audiences feel the roundness of the sea.
